How To Get The Most Out Of Your Logo

Clear consistent branding is something that we commonly see lacking with entrepreneurs or those of us with a small start up business. The temptation all too often is to get your amateur designer friend, or artistic brother / sister / husband / wife / second cousin twice removed on your fathers side … to put together a logo for you. Sometimes this temptation takes the form of using that “awesome” free site you found on the internet to generate the logo for your business.  Regardless of the path, all too often as the business grows these decisions lead to frustration and costs because the logo you have is limited to the one version of it that you have.

One of the important benefits about having One Bite Design professionally design your logo really comes to light as your business grows and you start to use your logo more to push your visual marketing, whether that be via print, the various forms of social media, promotional items or even the graphic to wrap your car.

Let One Bite Design show you eight logo versions, where and how to use them:
Square:
These are great for Facebook profile images and anywhere else the dimensions suit the design. Great for use inside a circle formation too.
Landscape:
These are great for websites up the top next to the menu bar. Perfect for when you have a long clear space to fill.
Text Only:
This can be super handy for headings or within a section of text for accent. It can also be used in similar places to the full landscape version.
Icon Only:
Favicon is the first thing that comes to mind for this logo version! You can also use it as a little design flare in the corners of your designs to reinforce your branding yet again.
JPG:
These file types have a white background so they are best on white only backgrounds
PNG:
These have a transparent background so they can go on coloured, textured or photographic backgrounds as long as the contrast of colours are ok.
White Watermark PNG:
These also have a transparent background so they can go on coloured, textured or photographic backgrounds. You can alter the opacity (strength of colour) to make it not ruin the image underneath.
Black Watermark PNG:
These also have a transparent background so they can go on coloured, textured or photographic backgrounds. You can alter the opacity (strength of colour) to make it not ruin the image underneath.

These are all versions of your logo that can be provided by One Bite Design, which will allow your business to expand and grow without compromising your hard fought for brand.

There are many advantages to having a number of different logo versions which all retain the same shape feel and theme of your “master logo”. This creates a visual image that you can not only use and adapt over a number of different platforms and mediums but it also quickly becomes a logo that is distinct and therefore can be trademarked and protected.
